Questa è la skin del North American P-51D, il famoso "Shangri-la" pilotato nel teatro d'operazioni europeo dall'asso americano di origini italiane Dominic Salvatore Gentile, conosciuto semplicemente come "Don Gentile". Volontario con la RAF già nel 1940, Don Gentile divenne presto famoso per la raffinatezza ed efficacia delle sue tecniche di duello aereo. Alla fine della guerra Don Gentile aveva raggiunto 28 vittorie sicure, 8 probabili e 8 aerei distrutti al suolo. Un punteggio da grande asso dell'USAAF, che gli fruttò la "Distinguished Flying Cross" dalle mani di Eisenhower e che lo portò su tutti i giornali americani.

Alcuni P-51 Mustang furono acquistati illegalmente da Israele nel 1948, trasportati di contrabbando nel paese come attrezzi agricoli furono usati nella Guerra d'Indipendenza (1948). Essi rapidamente si affermarono come il miglior caccia dell'aviazione israeliana. Ulteriori aerei sono stati acquistati dalla Svezia e sono stati sostituiti dai più moderni jet alla fine degli anni 1950. Il modello presentato è liberamente tratto dal P51D presente presso l'Israeli Air Force Museum.
Skin del celebre P-51D Mustang acquistato dall’AMI nel 1948 per equipaggiare il 4° Stormo e due anni dopo anche il 2°, 3° e 6° Stormo. L’esemplare di Vigna di Valle, MM-4323, reca in fusoliera le insegne personali del Generale di Squadra Aerea Ranieri Cupini, uno dei pluri-trasvolatori di Balbo. L’apparecchio fu radiato nel 1953.

This report describes firings of the A-10/GAU-9 weapon system on 7 November 1979 against a Soviet tank company simulated by 10 combat loaded M-47 tanks. The pilot making the firing passes attacked at low altitude and used correspondingly low dive angles in order to simulate movement through a hostile air defense system Ammunition used in the attacks comprised Aerojet Lot Number AJD 79A181-001 30mm armor piercing incendiary (API) rounds, which proved to be effective damage agents against substantial areas of the U.S. M47 tanks used as targets. The pilot in ten successful firing passes fired a total of 174 rounds of which 90 impacted the targets. Of the projectiles impacting on targets 30 achieved perforations of the armored envelope.Significant results include catastrophic damage to 3 tanks, 1 tank immobilized and silenced, three tanks immobilized only.

Russian forces in Poti have moved large quantities of weapons and ammunitions inside the city within the last days.
This morning our ground units have spotted suspect movements of vehicles and men from periphery to central Poti.
Many transport vehicles are ready to move from periphery of Poti to downtown. Our ground unit "Snooki" is monitoring enemy men and vehicles, wait for further informations on the route to Poti.
Be ready for light AA in the city and watch out for any escort tanks to the convoys.
Use GAU-8 Cannon for transport vehicles and keep Bombs and Missiles for any more dangerous threats in the city.
